On familiar tracks

This weekend the crew of Buggyra Ultimate Dakar, Tomas Ourednicek and Pavel Vaculik return to Poland for the third round of FIA Central European Zone Trophy for Cross-Country Rallies and second round of the Polish and Czech championships. Baja Carpathia will be organised on 30 April – 1 May in Stalowa Wola.

“During Baja Drawsko and the following test we tried different setup options on the Hummer and I think now it’s very good, but the real proof of our work will be this weekend’s Baja Carpathia. I know this race well, I had great results here as co-driver and I also have experience as driver by now, so I can say that we’ll be racing on familiar tracks. There are some parts with really deep sand that is not too favourable for our 4 litre V6 engine, but I think in the forest parts we can be fast. We are looking forward to the weekend and expect a good battle, as it’s usual in the Polish races” Tomas Ourednicek says.

After the administrative checks and the scrutineering, the competitors tackle a 42 km special on Saturday afternoon, followed by 6 km long “showstage” that is very popular among the local fans. For Sunday there are two 127 km specials on the schedule, before the event ends with a prizegiving ceremony at 6 pm in Stalowa Wola.
