Ford Ranger
The FORD RANGER DAKAR project is managed by NWM (Neil Woolridge Motorsport) and South Racing (Scott Abraham). Both companies prove their ability to win thanks to the rich experience of the world cross-country rallye races organized by ASO and FIA, which include races in Europe, Africa, Asia and especially the most famous rallye in the world - Dakar.
NEIL WOOLRIDGE is responsible for the Ford Ranger Dakar and cross-country rallye projects in South Africa. NWM, based in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa, provides technical development and production of the FORD RANGER DAKAR racing special. The NWM team has many specialists involved in the development of race cars for cross-country rallye competitions.
Vasion Sport is also involved in the project under the leadership of Thierro Viardot, who is former technical director of the Mitsubishi Ralliart team. This team took part in 24 Dakar Rallies under his wings and 12 of them managed to
win.
Scott Abraham has lot of experience in developing and leading international cross-country rallye teams including
X-Raid (BMW, MINI) and OVERDRIVE (Toyota). His company is the European base of the FORD RANGER DAKAR project and specializes in logistics, activity planning and customer relations.
