Successful debut for Boris Vaculik with Buggyra Ultimate Dakar’s Hummer

Czech autocross champion Boris Vaculik finished his first cross-country rally event successfully with Buggyra Ultimate Dakar’s experienced co-driver, Pavel Vaculik and the team’s Hummer H3 EVO 1. The crew scored a third place overall and second in their category in HOFEKA Cup, last round of the Hungarian Championship, in Nagykallo.

“For me everything was new, everything was different from my previous racing experience: driving in forest, driving between the fields, the weight of the car… The track was for me a little bit difficult, the routes were very narrow, but but my great co-driver helped me a lot. I enjoyed the atmosphere, because everyone was very friendly.

On Sunday after the night’s rain we didn’t have the best tyres on for the first two specials, so I drove very carefully. For the last two runs we opted for another tyre, with those I really enjoyed racing and clocked the second time in both specials.

I’d like to say thanks to Tomas for the opportunity, to Pavel for all his help and to the team for the well-prepared car. The Hummer is very good, the handling is very nice, the brakes are working fine, and I have to say that the suspension is maybe the best I’ve ever tried. This was definitely not my last start in cross-country rallies!”

Next challenge for Buggyra Ultimate Dakar will be Morocco Rally, penultimate event of the FIA World Cup for Cross-Country Rallies, on 2-7 October, 2016.
