Ups and downs for UltimateDakar in Bugac
First day of Duna Aszfalt Cup, second round of the Central European Zone Championship (CEZ) and first round of the Hungarian Championship in Bugac, Hungary was full of ups and downs for the crew of UltimateDakar, Tomas Ourednicek and Pavel Vaculik.
"Short before the scrutineering we realised that our Tripmasters were not working well, and this meant we couldn't start the race. But we managed to fix it. Then we had a small problem with the brakes, but this was also solved, so finally we were able to start but I'm not too happy with the result of the prologue because I thought we were having a good pace but the result list showed we weren't. 9th place is not really good, but the race ends on Sunday, so we still have a lot of time to improve," the driver said after the finish.
Duna Aszfalt Cup continues on Saturday with two specials of 110 km each, followed by another 94 km long track on Sunday.
